Engineer — Component Verification

Job Description

Infineon Technologies is hiring an Engineer for Component Verification at its Melaka (Malacca) backend operations site — one of Infineon's largest assembly, packaging and test sites for automotive and power semiconductors. In this role you will plan and execute component-level verification, qualification and reliability testing for new semiconductor products and process changes. You will work with cross-functional teams across design, process, packaging and quality to root-cause failures, build robust test plans and ensure that components meet stringent automotive and industrial reliability standards before mass production. Responsibilities typically include: defining and running characterization and qualification plans, operating semiconductor test and reliability equipment, analyzing electrical and physical results, driving failure analysis with packaging and process engineers, presenting results to internal stakeholders and external customers, and contributing to continuous improvement of test methodologies. You bring: a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Semiconductor Engineering or a related field, hands-on lab experience with semiconductor test or reliability methods, structured analytical thinking, strong presentation skills and a collaborative mindset.
