Milliman is hiring a Software Engineer II in Gurgaon (AIPL Business Club, Sector-62, Golf Course Extension Road) for the Employee Benefits Admin Technology team. Full-time, on-site role. What you'll do: - Design and implement web front-end screens and functionality using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript and responsive design on the ASP.NET stack. - Build and integrate component-architecture-based front-ends with backend services. - Design and implement general and specialized calculation libraries and automated distribution packages for diverse client plan specifications. - Troubleshoot and enhance existing ASP.NET apps, Windows services, WCF Web Services and ancillary applications. - Maintain and fix defects per EB Admin Tech support procedures. - Maintain code/library documentation through TFS and in-code comments. - Follow team coding standards, assist senior developers in identifying and correcting system stability issues, and share knowledge across the team. Required skills: - 2-4 years working with modern UI technologies on a Microsoft stack — SQL Server, XML, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps. - Broad exposure to OOP, component-based architectures, data structures, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework Class Libraries and SQL. - Multi-tiered web applications and services in agile SDLC (Scrum / Kanban / modified waterfall). - Track record of clean, scalable, extensible, refactored code with strong reliability and performance. - Excellent verbal and written communication; strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. - 4 years of software development experience. Preferred: - Willingness to learn Microsoft Blazor. - High integrity and discretion handling confidential client data. - Effective planning, priority setting and team collaboration.
